Disposal of old appliances

The EU WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU regulates the obligation to collect, treat and dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with regulations. In Germany, the directive is implemented by the Act on the Placing on the Market, Return and Environmentally Sound Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz - ElektroG).

Simplify Technologies GmbH is registered with the "Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register" (EAR), the joint body of manufacturers within the meaning of the ElektroG, with the reg. no. DE 92993172.

According to the ElektroG, we are obliged to provide a reasonable return option for old appliances from users other than private households ("B2B appliances"). If you would like to use this return option for our products, please contact us at +49 (0) 6441 210390 or send us an e-mail to recycling@simplify-technologies.de. Please note: These "B2B devices" may not be disposed of via the municipal collection and return points.

Returned old appliances will then be recycled, if possible, or, if this is not possible, disposed of in accordance with the applicable regulations. Simplify Technologies GmbH will bear the costs for treatment, recycling and recovery. In return, we ask you to bear the costs of transporting the old devices to us.

Please note that the acceptance of old appliances may be refused if there is a risk to the health and safety of people due to contamination.

Further important notes:

  • Data protection: As the end user, you are responsible for ensuring that no personal data is stored on the old devices you return. Therefore, please ensure that you have deleted personal data from your old device before returning it.
  • Batteries/accumulators/lamps: Remove these parts if this can be done without destroying them and dispose of them in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin indicates that the respective product must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of its service life, but must be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste.

Mandatory symbol with crossed-out waste garbage can (meaning: appliance must not be disposed of with residual waste)
